Since the Polls have been closed (and I can't seem to get them to open again) I'm going to ask if you will comment on here with what I should do next.
1) Girl's room or Boy's room?
2) Light or dark colors? Prints, solids, or both?
3) Where should I look? Target, K-Mart, Walmart, JC Penny, Sears, Macys, Dillards, PB Teen, etc.
Let me know what you think and I'll get on it!

Small Changes (Star's Dorm - # 2)
Just like any other design, things change. I noticed that Mizone Katelyn was a Coral and Green, so I changed my mind and I'm going with Mizone Abby:
Star
It appears to be the same, but I still want to make sure I'm staying with my color scheme. I'll continue to post more news on my room under the name "Star's Dorm" with numbers following after it.
Thanks for checking out my blog!!

Star's Dorm - # 1
Hey everyone! This is the
beginning of my room. This comforter:
I found at
Amazon.com for $55.99 in size Full/Queen. It comes with the two standard shams,
comforter, and small coral pillow. The material is polyester and since the room
I have is small, I decided to go with a lighter color to make the room look
bigger. I really liked this set because of the coral and green. Some of my
friends say it looks "preppy" but that's who I am!
I'll also be
getting this fuzzy green blanket for chilly days:
Also found at
Amazon.com for $29.99 or you can go to Designer Living (http://www.designerliving.com/) and
find it for $20.99.
[Warning: The
throw is a Size Queen so it will be bigger, but the bigger the better! Right?]
I'll also be
buying a bed skirt from Designer Living for $4.19:
This bed
skirt is part of the Mizone Abby Collection. Be careful not to get them mixed
up, even though they look the same. Katelyn is Coral and Green whereas Abby is
Pink and Green. I'm sure if you decide to go with Katelyn and add other pink
items, it should be able to work. But if you are skeptical, I'd go with the
Abby Collection. If you can't tell, Abby has pink ploka dot sheets (the bedding
is the same print).
Hope you guys
enjoyed this!!
Love,
Star
P.S. You can
also get these sets in Purple/Black (Amazon.com) and (designerliving.com),
Purple/Brown (designerliving.com), or Turquoise Blue/Apple Green (Amazon.com)
and (designerliving.com).
Well Hello There :)
Well I guess in this post I'll introduce myself. Hey everyone! My name is Star, yes like a star in the sky, no extra r's or weird spellings; just plain old me.
I'm ready to begin my first year at a four year college this fall. Before that, I want to post some things that will possibly help me, and other students get ready for dorm room life. Seeing as how this will be my first year living away from my parents, I'll be pretty much lost :) If you know anyone who's gone through or going through college life, send them this way and they can give us tips on how to make money stretch and how to manage time.
My first few posts will consist of what I've been doing this summer, ideas for my dorm room, cool accessories I think a lot of people will enjoy, and anything else I can come up with. As more people start following, I'll put up more dorm room ideas. Say someone wants a purple themed room. I'll look stuff up! I know a lot of people are probably on a tight budget so I'll make one room that's reasonable, and then a dream room. *sigh* I shouldn't even tease myself... Oh well! That's what our imaginations are for right? Dreaming, and keeping those dreams alive.
If you have any questions, feel free to comment and I'll answer as soon as I see it! Thanks!
Love,
Star
